Election 2016: Clinton And Trump Win In New York

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the winners of the election in New York. Clinton defeated Bernie Sanders and took 58 percent of the vote. Sanders received 42 percent of the vote. Donald Trump won a great victory over his rival Ted Cruz. Cruz ended in New York even behind John Kasich. Trump took over 60 percent of the vote which gives him almost all the delegates.Clinton had gains in New York, the State where she was in the Senate eight years, important. Clinton 175 delegates can add to her total. Sanders gets 106 delegates and runs it through again a bit in Clinton, but Clinton will not in halls. If Clinton include Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Delaware and Maryland wins then the nomination within reach.

Donald Trump is also delighted with the win in New York on his rival. Cruz could not impress in New York. Cruz focuses rather on other states and prepares for and Contested convention with Trump. Therefore, he is working to persuade delegates to vote for him. Cruz succeeds better than Trump. Trump assumes that if he gets the most delegates he can come out of the convention as a winner and will not accept any other candidate. He will likely continue as an independent candidate and his supporters call to boycott the Republican presidential candidate.
